Mobile APP Training Camp
Smart Phone is now the closest electronic equipment to humans. According a study from the Macao Association for Internet Research (MAIR), 77% of Macao residents use mobile phone to connect to the Internet, and there are about 470,000 mobile Internet users. Mobile Phone is the most used vehicle for Internet Users. Thus, mobile phone-based applications are becoming the new opportunities for the innovative entrepreneurs.
To promote the understanding of the development and application of information technology to UM students from different majors, and to assist them to implement their creative ideas by developing mobile applications, and also to respond to the Macao SAR government in support of the youth entrepreneurship policy. The Centre for innovation will organize an APP training camp between September and October. Students are encouraged to actively learn and utilize information technology, and to have an in-depth thinking of IT in application to different majors of study. Combining with the APP development knowledge from the training camp, students are stimulated to design innovative projects with commercial value. The innovation atmosphere will also be boosted up in the campus.

Instructor
Dr. Tony Sam, assistant professor of business information systems, Faculty of Business Administration. Dr. Sam has more than 10 years teaching and research experience in business information systems, computer language, web mining, and user interface of information & communication systems.
